No, The range of ages onboard is wide ranging from newly weds to the older
generation
Are children catered for?
Yes, All ships we have been on have had special activities arranged for Children
Are children noisy and disruptive onboard
ship?
From the ships we have been on it appears the children are of the old school
of seen and not heard.
Do you have to get off the ship at each port
of call?
No, You are free to stay onboard and enjoy the activities or go ashore
I cannot swim and this puts me off.
All cabins are equipped with life jackets for emergency use and also spares
are available on deck. Unlike the Titanic there is sufficient lifeboats for everyone
onboard the ship.
I get seasick on a cross channel ferry.
Modern cruise ships have stabilizers fitted that assist in keeping the ship
steady. Sometimes you can forget that you actually on a ship the passage is so smooth.

We choose Cruise and stay and although the second week was in a lovely resort,
missed being on the ship.
What voltage is used on board
The ships we have been on have all been 110 volts, this means that standard
UK electrical appliances will not work.

Dining onboard?
All ships we have been on offer a choice of dining, either waiter service
or self service.
The food is well prepared and presented. I have only heard of one complaint and
that was that there was no egg and chips available at lunch times.
Your eating day begins with Breakfast, Around 11am pastries are served. From around
midday lunch is available. 4 pm is time for Afternoon tea. From around 6:30 pm dinner
is served. Around 11pm snacks or a buffet is available.
I'm diabetic, would I be catered for?
My wife is diabetic and once the waiters knew they arranged to have a different
dessert prepared each day.
I like to sunbathe all day, would cruising
suit me?
Yes, provided you choose a suitable cruise location.
There are plenty of deck space available to sunbathe, around the pool area
or on quieter decks, especially when the ship is in port.
Is there a Doctor onboard?
Yes, although there is a charge made for consultation and treatment, normally
covered by holiday insurance. Having seen a medical emergency unfold, I was impressed
by the speed and professionalism shown by the staff in dealing with the situation.
Is there wheelchair access?
We have seen people in wheelchairs onboard so would have to say yes.
Are cruises only for couples?
Not at all, most ships have a single persons get together, (both sexes can check
out the talent is how it as been explained to us).
Groups of men and woman also take cruising holidays
Myths
Dressing up every night puts me off.
My husband would not wear a dickey bow.
